1975-1979: Sharpsville School District (Sharpsville, PA) Director of Bands and Orchestra(Organized the Western Pennsylvania Band Festival conducted in Washington, D.C. during the 1976 Bicentennial Celebration that involved 1400 students.)  (Led students on a concert tour to Niagara Falls and Toronto, 1978.)
 1967-1971: Dallastown Area High School Band (Dallastown, PA) Student Conductor of the concert bandParticipant in the Dallastown Boys and Girls Band (a professional student ensemble that presented summer concerts in a tri-state area).  Studied saxophone, clarinet, piano, trumpet, and trombone.
